The new Chabad CHAI Center will unite our younger generation with their heritage. This is done through our many educational programs such as the Mommy, Daddy and Me Programs and Camp Gan Israel. --> FOR CELEBRATION Holidays come alive at Chabad with joy of Shabbat, excitement of Simchat Torah, happiness of Purim, pride of Chanukah and the awe of High Holidays. Our new center will enable many more Jews to experience these special moments. --> FOR OUTREACH Chabad outreach programs enrich lives of those from all backgrounds and affiliations. Programs include adult education, holiday workshops, Shabbat services, lectures, and family gatherings. Weekly Shabbat Service, welcoming all from beginners to advanced in a user-friendly style, followed by a Kiddush luncheon. 100 hospital and nursing home visits. 10 gatherings with Jewish inmates. Volunteer clerical services to any Jew. --> FOR CHILDREN Summer and winter Camp Gan Israel for children ages 3-11. Over 180 children have attended camp since 2000 and many return year after year. Sunday Hebrew School for 25 Jewish Children from all Jewish walks of life. 5 Traveling Shofar factory workshops, many taking home their own Shofar, for 180 men, women and children. 5 Traveling Matzo Bakery workshops, many taking home their own matzo, for 180 men, women and children. --> FOR CELEBRATION Purim festival celebrations serving over 250 from across RI. Chanukah Expo at the center of the Warwick Mall. Installation of 50 Mezuzahs on Jewish homes in Rhode Island. Open hospitality for Shabbat and Festival meals. --> FOR OUTREACH Weekly Torah faxes with an informative thought provoking column on the weekly Torah portion. Deliver 700 boxes of Chanukah candles and Shmurah Matzo Design, print & distribute 6,000 Jewish educational art calendar to every home & office with a Jewish person in the southern half of our state. The calendar is welcomed by all for it's beauty, large layout with practical details on Jewish holidays on each page.
